One of the best places to reach in a one day trip from Lviv is certainly Mount Trostyan. The 1232m (4042ft) peak is right next to the mountain resort of Slavske. Included in this trip is an adventurous ride with a chair lift, that is one of the longest in Ukraine. It goes up a small mountain, then down into a valley, before going up to Mount Trostyan. It’s really fun! From the top of Mount Trostyan you can enjoy the gorgeous panorama of the Ukrainian Carpathians. Our guides will show you local plants and tell you about the habitat of the local brown bear of which there are still several hundreds in the Carpathians.
Hidden in the forest among the valley of the river with the same name. It might not be as tall and impressive as the Niagara Falls or similarly big waterfalls. But you can really find some peace watching the water take a dive here and enjoy even a bath in the springlike water that will cool you down. From the waterfall it’s an easy hike to the nearby Blueberry Lake which is very hidden between the pine trees and is surrounded by many legends.
The great thing about visiting Slavske is that you can easily enjoy a beautiful mountain panorama from here. In Slavske we will take the local chairlift with you to visit Mount Trostyan. From here you have a gorgeous view over the Eastern Beskids, sometimes even up to 50 kilometres (30 miles). And you even get to ride one of the most unusual lifts in the area to get up to the mountain.
We will take you to a local restaurant in Slavske to let you try some of the best local specialities. Here we will introduce you to the local cuisine of the Ukrainian Carpathians and of the local Boyko people. Taste some Borsch and Vareniki and enjoy other local treats. This is also a good time to introduce you to the big variety of Ukrainian cooking and to tell you about the importance it has for Ukrainian culture.

After the tasty lunch it will be hard to walk but we will take you to a pretty place on the way to Lviv. But the visit surely will have a highlight at the Kamyanka waterfall. This local stream invites you to have a refreshing dip in the summer, if you dare to or to walk on ice in the winter. Either time it's fun! What are you waiting for?
