With more than 300.000 graves, you wouldn’t find out all the details that this place has to offer on your own. Now not all the names of people buried at Lychakiv Cemetery might be known to you. But the stories of these people are simply intriguing and will give you an insight into what life was like during Austrian times:

Baczewski family – The Baczewski family once owned the most important vodka company in all of Poland. They had the best marketing, the best products and the most famous people in Europe drank their vodka. But this legacy almost came to a tragic and complete end.
Solomiya Krushelnytska – One of the most talented singers to have ever wandered on earth, Solomia Krushelnitska became so famous, that she even made it to become a singer at the Scala of Milan.
Ivan Levynskyi – The owner of a factory, he became one of the most influential architects in the city of Lviv. There is hardly any building of fame, which is not associated with him in Lviv.
